I have the exact same placement. Sun in Sag in 5th house D1 and Sun in Taurus in D9 12th house. I agree, the signs are more important in Navamsa as it's the rashi and its ansh which provide the environment for the planet. Even the houses get meanings from rashi. parivartan with Saturn does support Jupiter and it's in its exaltation sign in D9. So by that very principle, your Jupiter is supported. You don't need to look for neechbhang.

That's great to hear. I wanted to have confirmation as there are some views about where planets should go e.g. 4th lord in 12th or 9th/10th lord in 12th...but do the 12th lords in 4th/10th/9th also produce the same effects as the movement is of different house lords. You're on point about Sagittarius and Pisces but I think Capricorn and Aquarius may also produce results because of Saturn lordship...Saturn as the karak of 8th and 12th.
